Quarterpenny signet ring gold
Quarterpenny signet ring in yellow gold.
The original silver quarterpenny was found during an archaeological excavation under Bryggen in Bergen. The quarterpenny dates back to King Håkon V's time on the Norwegian throne (1299 - 1319). The silver quarterpenny was used as a means of payment for small amounts during the Hanseatic period.
The quarterpenny signet ring is delivered in a nice box along with a card describing the history of the coin.
