Frequently asked questions
Shipping and returns
We usually ship your order within 1-2 business days. You will receive an email from us with an expected delivery time if there is an item that needs to be produced before it can be shipped.
We ship with PostNord or DHL. You can choose between delivery to a parcel box, mail in a store or home delivery - it all depends on what suits you best.
We offer free shipping on all orders over 1000 NOK. For purchases under this amount, a shipping fee (65 NOK) will apply.
- Of course! You have 14 days to return your item after you have received it. The item must be unused and in its original condition. The right of return does not apply to items that are specially designed or engraved. In the order confirmation you received from us, you will find the return label that can be used for returns. It will be possible to return different orders together. The return form for all returned items must be included in the shipment.
- Refund: If you have paid for the item with a card/direct payment, the amount will be refunded 3-5 business days after the return has been registered with us. If you have paid for the item with Klarna, Klarna will pay the amount.
When returning an item, there will be a return fee of NOK 99 for shipping and handling costs. This amount will be deducted from the refund.
Would you like a different ring size or exchange for another piece of jewelry? Please contact us and we will help you with a return and new purchase/exchange.
Warranty, faulty or defective product
It's so sad - but it can happen! Here you will find our terms and conditions for warranty . Either come by our store, or send us an email with your order number, pictures and description, and we will find a solution together.
We offer a 2-year warranty on Arven Vintage jewelry and a 5-year warranty on all new jewelry from Handmade By Arven and By Arven. The warranty covers, among other things, manufacturing defects, loose solder joints, sockets and locks that fail. Read more about the warranty here .
- Yes, absolutely. When it has been one year since you bought your jewelry from us - and it has a setting - you can come by for a free check and cleaning. Do you not live in Bergen or do you not have the opportunity to visit our store/workshop? You can send it to us, but then you are responsible for the shipping costs round trip to Arven.
- We offer most repairs and services in-house, in addition to the services mentioned above. Please read about repairs and renovations here . You can also request a quote for repairs here .

Heritage Vintage
Arven buys all silver (830/925S) and gold (375/585/750) by weight and guarantees competitive prices and insured shipping for your peace of mind. This means that you can also sell silver and gold items that are completely or partially damaged or tarnished to us. This service is only available if you are resident in Norway. - Arven buys gold and silver based on weight. It can therefore be difficult to estimate what the payout will be until our goldsmith has weighed the item. If you are curious and would like an estimate, you can weigh the items you wish to sell on your kitchen scale at home. Please note that items that are filled, such as knives, candlesticks, jewelry with stones, beads, etc. should not be weighed at home, as this will not give an accurate estimate of weight.
We update our gold and silver prices regularly. You can see our prices here .
When handing over your gold/silver in store or sending it in, you will be given a choice in your sales notification to receive the purchase amount directly paid to your account, or receive a voucher that can be used in Arven's store or online store. When paying with a voucher, you will receive a 20% higher amount. A voucher is a good choice if you want to purchase goods or services from Arven.
Absolutely! We buy all gold and silver and give a price based on weight. This means we do not pay for diamonds, stones, pearls, etc.
We work as quickly as we can and promise to deliver a settlement via email and payment/credit note within 10 business days. Do you have more questions? For more information about selling gold and silver, read here .
Generally
No, we do not melt gold and silver at our place. We offer to buy your gold and silver, where we can either give a payment to a credit note or to an account. When choosing a credit note, you can use the credit note on goods and services with us.

We can silver-plate most conductive metals, such as silver, tin, copper, brass and the like. We have a large, modern silver-plating department, where all processes are carried out in accordance with current regulations for safety, the environment and security. You can read more about it here .
