"The rose pattern originated in Germany in the 19th century. The silver pattern was chiseled by hand at the time. Rose silver is one of the great patterns of all time in Norway, and was given as a gift from the Norwegian people to King Haakon in 1906. The item has been quality checked, cleaned and newly polished. The spoon is gilded on the inside of the spoon blade. It has engraved ""Karen"" on the front and ""13/6-23"" on the back. Used, genuine Norwegian silverware at one of the best prices on the market."
