Måne was designed by Jacob Tostrup Prytz in 1935 and represents 30s modernism. Prytz is described as "one of the leading figures in the Norwegian craft and design environment in the interwar period". His goldsmith work was at a high international level. The design lies in the shape of the cutlery itself, which gives Måne the simple, stylish elegance that is characteristic of modernism.

Måne steak knife has serrations along the knife blade, which means that the steak knife is well suited for different types of meat.
