At the heart of our changing world, where sustainability and responsibility are becoming increasingly important, a movement is growing steadily stronger. For us as a manufacturer and supplier of gold and silver goods, it is therefore important to take a stand and continue to cultivate our values through greener and sustainable production.

The movement is about teaching us to give new life to the treasures of the past, to be innovative in production and packaging choices and to embrace reuse to create a circular economy where valuable resources are used over and over again.

An adventurous journey

Arven Vintage is a concept that has emerged against the background of this movement and in step with our journey towards greener production. Arven Vintage is about giving new life to old treasures that have been forgotten, destroyed or are no longer used by our customers. In the past, we have bought gold and silver from our customers and sent the metal for smelting, refining and recycling. As a manufacturer and supplier of jewellery, silver cutlery and interiors, we have well-trained eyes. Sometimes we come across lovely jewellery, beautiful silver cutlery and interiors that we simply don't have the heart to let go to the melting pot. These are objects we know the value of and the craftsmanship behind, and it was these treasures that were the start of our Arven Vintage adventure.

Since autumn 2021, we have offered our customers Arven Vintage, and it has been an adventurous journey so far.

Sustainability and responsibility

Recycling of gold and silver

When we choose to reuse gold and silver jewellery, cutlery and interiors, we are taking a conscious step towards a future where each metal tells a story about sustainability and responsibility. The shadows of mining, with its impact on the environment and society, are replaced with the joy of seeing old metals given new life. Every piece of jewellery, piece of cutlery or candle holder that gets a new life reduces the need for further recovery.

100% recycled gold and silver

Since we buy gold and silver from our customers, this gives us the opportunity to follow a greener path within our own production. It is because of the trust from our customers, who sell gold and silver to us, that we can operate a 100% recycled in-house production.

HANDMADE by Arven is jewellery, silver cutlery and silver interiors that are produced and handmade here in Arven. We are proud to be able to tell our customers that everything within HANDMADE by Arven is made from 100% recycled gold and silver.

Anyone can invest in gold and silver

The process behind

One of the purposes of Arven Vintage is to make it possible for more people to be able to invest in gold and silver through favorable and competitive prices. In order to understand why the prices can be kept so low, it is important for us at Arven to communicate what the process with Arven Vintage is like.

The entire process with Arven Vintage is carried out at our factory in Bergen. The customer comes in, or sends in gold and silver that the customer wants to sell to us. Our skilled professionals quality check, make cosmetic repairs, clean and polish every item to be resold through Arven Vintage. Each item is then registered into our systems with price, image and text before the item is put up for further sale in our store and online store. As the entire process takes place with us in Arven, this process is very cost-effective. This gives us the opportunity to sell gold and silver goods for approx. 50-70% below the price of a similar new item in store.

We at Arven carry out repairs and services for both our customers and dealers around the country. In our workshop, we do everything from repair and refurbishment, to changing dimensions and reworking, engraving, silvering and gilding. We do most of the work.
