Laila cake fork

Cake fork in the Laila design.

Laila was designed by Torvald Olsen in 1935 and represents Norwegian historicism. Laila is inspired by the Rococo style. The C-shaped arches with their features of rose painting and wood carving were typical of the neo-Rococo era in Norway. The style is complex, detailed, embroidered and the cutlery places high demands on the craftsmen.

The Laila cake fork is 3-pronged and the outermost prong is wider than the other prongs, making the cake fork well suited for dividing the cake.
