Hardanger was designed by Edvard Anda in 1930 and represents national romanticism. The design is inspired by Norwegian baroque and rococo styles, with shapes used in rose painting and wood carving. The uneven surface reflects hand-hammered cutlery. Hardanger represents the roots of Norwegian craftsmanship.

Hardanger pie spatula has serrated edges along one side, which comes in handy when cutting pie or cake.
