With Private Collection, Arven offers a simple and secure solution for giving these pieces of jewellery new life – while also allowing you to reclaim their value. Private Collection is Arven's concept for consignment sales of pre-owned jewellery. Instead of letting valuable jewellery lie in a drawer, Arven takes responsibility for the entire sales process.
How it works
When the jewellery is handed in, it is carefully assessed by our valuers before being accepted into the Private Collection. It is then professionally cleaned and polished to ensure it is in the best possible condition. Once prepared, it is offered for sale both on Arven's website and in the shop at Sandbrogaten 11 in Bergen.
The jewellery is offered for sale for a period of six months. During this time, it is marketed and presented as part of a curated collection of unique, pre-owned jewellery.
What happens when the piece of jewelry is sold?
If a piece of jewelry is sold within six months, the customer can choose between two settlement options:
- 60% of the sales amount paid directly to the bank account
- 70% of the sales amount in the form of a gift card from Arven
This provides flexibility for the customer, whether they prefer a cash payout or to use the value within Arven's universe.
What happens if the piece of jewelry isn't sold?
If the jewellery does not find a new owner within six months, the customer has two options:
- Arven can buy the jewellery at its gold weight
- The customer can receive an appraisal certificate for a fee of NOK 1500
This ensures that the jewellery always has value, even if it is not sold immediately.
