Different types of diamonds
Which type of diamond should I choose?
At Arven, quality, knowledge, and responsibility are fundamental - regardless of how the diamond was created. All diamonds are evaluated according to clear requirements for quality, documentation, and ethical considerations.
We want to give you the knowledge you need to choose the option that suits you best. Whether you choose natural or lab-grown diamonds, our goal is the same: to create a piece of jewellery with lasting quality and meaning. With reliable guidance and solid expertise, we want to make it easier to make an informed choice - and find a piece of jewellery that lasts, both in expression and significance.
At Arven, you can always be confident that the diamonds have been chosen with respect for the craftsmanship, the material, and the people behind them. Quality, origin, and ethical considerations are a natural part of every piece of jewellery we create.

What characterizes a
Lab-grown diamond
Lab-grown diamonds are created in laboratories over weeks or months, but have the same chemical composition, crystal structure, and brilliance as natural diamonds.
For many, lab-grown diamonds represent a modern alternative, where technology, precision, and accessibility are central. As with all diamonds, it is the quality and overall integrity that determines how the diamond is perceived in a piece of jewelry.

What characterizes a
Natural diamond
Natural diamonds are formed deep within the earth, under extreme pressure and heat, over millions—sometimes billions—of years. They are the result of slow, natural processes that make each diamond completely unique.
When choosing a natural diamond, you are choosing a material shaped by time and nature. Small variations in structure, color, and clarity are part of the diamond's character—and precisely what makes no two natural diamonds exactly alike.
Frequently asked questions
Yes! If you want something truly special, you can design the rings yourselves. This way, you get to decide exactly how they should look, from design, material, stones, etc. Book an appointment with our goldsmith here to get started!
Unfortunately, we are unable to melt down old heirloom gold to create new rings. However, we can certainly help modernize and customize existing rings and jewelry so they better suit the person who will wear them.
This could involve, for example, changing their shape, adjusting their size, updating their appearance, or setting a colored gemstone. In this way, the heirloom can live on, in a form that feels right today.
Absolutely! All our rings can be customised in terms of size, width, finish and expression. We will guide you through the choices so that the rings feel just right for you.
Yes! All our wedding rings are engraved according to the customer's wishes. This could be, for example, names, a date, or a short word with special meaning for you.
Delivery times vary depending on the ring type and customisations, but are usually a few weeks. We recommend getting in touch well in advance of the wedding, so we can ensure we have enough time for all customisations.
