Silver cutlery handmade in Bergen with genuine Norwegian craftsmanship
A gift with deep roots in Norwegian culture
Silver cutlery has a long tradition in Norway. For generations, it has been among the most valuable things we have in our homes – and it is a timeless gift that still accompanies a person throughout their life. At Arven, we are proud to be and have Norway's oldest silverware workshop and production, and continue this proud tradition to new generations.
Developed and made in Bergen
All our silver cutlery is developed and produced in Bergen, with expertise that has been passed down through generations. We only use genuine, high-quality recycled silver, and all parts are handmade or processed with great precision.
A wide range of designs – for every taste
With us you will find a large and varied selection of cutlery patterns. Whether you dream of a set inspired by the neo-Rococo period, or something that represents the traditional modernism of the 60s, we have something to suit you and your style. From classic and ornate patterns to modern and simple shapes – our selection is wide-ranging, and everything is made to last, with the same pride in craftsmanship.
Silver that grows with life
Silver cutlery is the perfect gift for baptisms, confirmations, weddings and anniversaries. Many people start with one spoon or one set, and build on it throughout their lives. This makes silver a gift with a long-lasting and deeper value. At Arven, we are happy to help you supplement existing patterns – or find the right starting point for a new collection.
Preservation and continuation
Have you inherited cutlery or found an old treasure in a drawer? We offer cleaning, polishing and maintenance – and we still produce many of the classic patterns so you can supplement or revive old sets.
