How does it work?

For those living in Bergen

• Visit our store: Come by our store at Sandbrogaten 11, just behind Bryggen in Bergen city center. We offer free parking for our customers at the back of the building.

• Drop-off: Our staff will help you register the items you wish to sell in a simple sales declaration, and provide you with information about the process and answer any questions you may have.

• Payout: You can choose to have the amount paid out to your chosen bank account, or receive a store credit that can be used in our physical or online store – in which case you will receive an amount 20% higher than a bank transfer.

For those living elsewhere in Norway

1. Log in with Vipps and register your sales declaration at www.selgdittgullogsolv.no. You will receive an email linked to your Vipps user with confirmation that we have received your sales declaration, as well as information on how to send your package to us.
   

2. Packing: Pack the gold or silver you wish to sell securely before sending it. We recommend using tissue paper or bubble wrap to prevent the metal from scratching each other. Pack what you wish to send in a box and tape it securely. Deliver to your nearest Post in Store or parcel locker. Postage is paid, the shipment can be tracked, and the contents are insured for up to NOK 250,000.
   

3. Valuation: Once we receive your package, we will perform a valuation of the items, which takes up to 10 working days. We will then send you an offer to your email.
   

4. Payout: You will either receive the amount paid out to your chosen bank account or as a store credit that can be used in our physical or online store. With a store credit payout, you will receive an amount 20% higher. If you have not provided feedback to us regarding your preferred settlement method, we will pay the amount to your account after 7 days.

• What can I sell? We buy all silver (830/925S) and gold (375/585/750), including items that are completely or partially damaged or tarnished. For example, jewelry, cutlery, and other interior items.

• Do I get paid for diamonds and other stones on the product? The settlement is calculated solely based on weight and metal content. This means that stones and decorations are not valued or priced separately in the valuation. If you wish to keep any stones, please check this on the sales declaration you submit.

• Is it safe to send gold and silver by mail? Yes, by using our address label, the contents of the package are insured for up to NOK 250,000.

• Does the design of what I'm selling matter? No. We evaluate items only based on weight and metal content, i.e., how much gold or silver they contain – not by appearance or design.

• Can I sell broken jewelry? Yes, you are welcome to sell broken, tarnished, or unusable jewelry. We buy all gold and silver – including jewelry that is broken, dented, or can no longer be used as is. It is the metal value that counts, not the condition.
