Quarter penny pendant in gilt silver with chain.

The original Kvartpenningen in silver was found during an archaeological excavation under the Bryggen in Bergen. The quarter penny dates back to King Håkon V's time on the Norwegian throne (1299 - 1319). The silver quarterpenny was used as a means of payment for smaller amounts during the Hanseatic period.

The quarter penny is delivered in a nice box together with a card where the history of the coin is described.

A gold-plated silver chain of 45 cm is included.
