Pariser was designed for the World Exhibition in Paris in 1937. The pattern is representative of the design language of European modernism in the 1930s, where the characteristic feature is reflected in the shape of the cutlery itself. Pariser was awarded the label for good design in 1965.

Pariser fish knife has a slightly shorter and wider blade than a normal table knife, and the knife also has a blunt edge.
