Quarterpenny necklace in oxidized silver

Quarterpenny pendant in oxidized silver with chain.

The original silver quarterpenny was found during an archaeological excavation under Bryggen in Bergen. The quarterpenny dates back to King Håkon V's time on the Norwegian throne (1299 - 1319). The silver quarterpenny was used as a means of payment for small amounts during the Hanseatic period.

The quarter is delivered in a nice box along with a card describing the history of the coin.

An oxidized silver chain of 45 cm is included.
